 Come to Spain to perform in the great cities and towns, and experience typical Spanish life. A country rich in diversity, Spain has four official languages, two major cities of nearly equal importance, and the greatest range of landscapes of any European country.
 Consider a concert tour to the most popular areas for first time visitors, by combining Madrid and the nearby cities of Avila, Segovia and Salamanca, with Andalusia to the south. See Seville, know for its religious processions during Semana Santa (Holy Week) and Malaga on the Costa del Sol. Andalusia is where you will also find the most well known landmarks of Moorish influence - the Mezquita in Córdoba and the Alhambra in Granada.
Jazz groups may consider a jazz festival in los pais Vasco, which is part of the region known as Green Spain. Green Spain’s cities and attractions include the international beach resort of San Sebastian, picturesque Basque fishing villages, Picos de Europa National Park, and the pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostela.
 Or include Barcelona, capital of Catalonia, with as many world-class attractions as any great city. Barcelona contains many examples of the Modersme movement in art and architecture, the most famous being Gaudí’s La Sagrada Familia which has come to symbolize the city. Your performing group will marvel at the Palau de Musica, which incorporates all the classical elements of the Modersme movement in its tiled exterior, sculpture and use of stained glass.
Portugal
 Portugal can be combined with your tour to Spain. But, while being close geographically, it is very different – in climate, architecture, language, food and music. You will see Roman ruins, traces of Moorish history, alongside the Manueline and Baroque architectural styles and the trademark painted tiles (Azulejos) that decorate so many buildings. During the Age of Discoveries, the Portuguese not only left their mark on the world, but also came into contact with other cultures, which influenced the Portuguese character.
Fado music is the heart of the Portuguese soul. Its origins are unclear, but its themes are destiny, betrayal in love, death and despair. It’s a sad music and a fado performance is not considered successful unless the audience is moved to tears.
By the early twentieth century, fado had become a fixture in the everyday life of Lisbon’s working class. It was played for pleasure but also to relieve the pain of life. The fado is normally sung by men or women and accompanied by one Portuguese guitar and one classic guitar, which in Portugal is called viola.
