SOUTH PACIFIC
Many Americans hold a special interest in the Country of Australia, perhaps a kindred spirit for the "Frontier Mentality," of this other British colony. Australia is the world's oldest continent, but a very young country. The British settled the continent barley 200 years ago, in 1788. Americans are fascinated by Australia's unique collection of fauna, such as the kangaroo, koala, platypus, and echidna. But, of all the reasons to visit Australia, the most prominent should be the warm, welcoming hospitality of the Aussies. Your performance will attract audiences of enthusiastic, friendly locals. We highly recommend venturing out of the East Coast cities, to the Outback, for memorable performances and culture exchanges. Although distances are vast, it is possible to visit Sydney and Melbourne, as well as the Snowy Mountains and the tropical north, during a 14 day tour. One of the best times to visit Australia is in August, at the end of the winter season (winters are mild). It is also possible to combine a visit to Australia with a stop in New Zealand, Fiji and/or Tahiti.
Tour highlights include a guided tour of Sydney, the Sydney Opera House, Sydney Harbour Cruise, Koala Park Sanctuary, Katoomba, Performances will be planned in each city, in appropriate locations, based on your interest and repertoire. Venues may include St. Mary's Cathedral in Sydney, Auckland Cathedral, Suva Centenary Church, plus local recital halls and churches. The South Pacific concert tour includes superb centrally located hotel accommodations, breakfast and dinner daily, all necessary transfers by private motor coach, entrance fees to cultural events, planning and promotion of concert performances, and a professional tour escort.
